The Peer Support Specialist provides direct support to adults with serious mental illness to promote recovery, wellness, and community integration. Responsibilities include developing recovery plans, teaching coping strategies, and maintaining accurate client documentation.
Must complete 20 hours of supervision within their first 6 months. After the 6-month recertification providers are required to renew on an annual basis and complete 10 CEUS one of which must be ethics.
