The Occupational Therapist Assistant administers therapy treatments and assists in developing treatment plans under the direction of a licensed therapist. They are responsible for documenting patient progress and modifying treatments based on the patient's status.
Candidates must hold an active OTA license in the state of Florida and possess a current hands-on CPR/BLS certification. A minimum of 6 months of experience in an acute or inpatient rehabilitation facility is required.
Administers occupational therapy treatments to patients working under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an Inpatient Care setting.
As a Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) you will assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by a licensed occupational therapist. This OTA will manage a specific caseload of patients and make computerized documentation.
