Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders across various patient populations. Provide expert-level care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and their families.
Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current Georgia state licensure. Candidates must hold CCC certification from ASHA and maintain active CPR certification.
Evaluates speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice and resonance disorders. Develops and administers speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients of age groups defined by clinical competency, which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
