• IU Health University Hospital’s Adult Oncology is a fast paced, 15-bed medical surgical unit.
• This unit cares for a variety of patient populations including gynecology-oncology, benign gynecology, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia/hematology, hospitalist, and hospice care.
• We also see overflow from other areas such as hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant if appropriate.

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Education

The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions

• Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
