The role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality radiographic images to support the medical team in providing exceptional patient care.
• Key
• Responsibilities: - Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, as prescribed by physicians. - Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. - Operate radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance. - Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. - Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff. - Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality, ensuring clarity and accuracy for diagnostic purposes. - Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide necessary information for patient diagnosis. - Assist with patient care activities, including explaining procedures and providing reassurance to patients. - Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
• QualificationsRequired
• Education: - Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution. - Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.

• Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical setting. - Experience in an urgent care environment is preferred but not mandatory. - Proven track record of performing diagnostic imaging procedures with high accuracy and precision.
