The Respiratory Therapy Resident assists the respiratory therapy staff by observing patient care, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and attending didactic learning seminars. They are also responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting respiratory equipment while maintaining infection control standards.
Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in respiratory care from a CoARC accredited facility and possess at least 2 years of experience in an accredited program. Additionally, they must obtain a New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner license and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential within 6 months of hire.
A day in the life of a Respiratory Therapy Resident at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Assemble, test, and troubleshoot various respiratory therapy equipment Observe and participate in multidisciplinary rounds Attend didactic learning seminars to enhance knowledge and patient care Learns and demonstrates proficiency through practice driven competencies Maintains infection control standards throughout the department and in satellite locations. Must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license within 6 months of hire. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications: Education,
