The Role - What You’ll Do

Our team-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) deliver rehabilitative care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, supporting patient progress, independence, and high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and goal achievement.

Provide therapy services, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

Collaborate with patients and care teams to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.

Maintain a safe, organized therapy environment and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • What We're Looking For
  • ✅ Current State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required
  • ❤️ BLS/CPR Certification required
  • 🏥 While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
  • Physical requirements - What you need to know
  • A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
  • Both gross and precise motor functions.
  • Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
  • Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
  • Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.

Requirements

While recent graduates are welcome, 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting is preferred. Candidates must possess current state licensure as a COTA in good standing and Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
