The Therapist provides clinical social work services, including psychosocial assessments and therapy, while participating in treatment planning and discharge planning. They also engage in crisis intervention and liaise with referral sources and other departments.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field, with prior experience in psychiatric mental health, preferably in an inpatient setting. Licensure is preferred, and knowledge of case management and crisis management is beneficial.
The Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required, licensure preferred.
