Job Summary The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function. Essential Functions of the Role Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals. Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting. Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff. Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers. Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice. Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines. Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals. Key Success Factors Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff. EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Physical Therapist (PT)
BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Candidates must hold an active, pending, or temporary PT license and have experience with outpatient orthopedics. A Master's or Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience is required, along with BLS certification.
