BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital (St. Louis, MO) - BJH CDL South and BJH CDL CAM $7,500 Sign on Bonus for eligible candidates!!!

Position Details

Day Shift Hours: 4 – 10 hour shifts per week (7am-5:30pm) with rotating days off Paid Saturday Rotation: approximately once a month 8 hr shift 0730-1600 with additional day off during week Closed on SUNDAYS and all major holidays!!! No after-hours call Performs transthoracic echocardiography exams for inpatient and outpatient GE equipment with newer GE E95 machines, PICOM Imaging/Reporting system, EPIC Echocardiographic imaging 3-D echocardiography, transplanted heart and lungs, Testing modalities will include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress transthoracic echocardiography.

• The department provides the following services to our patients: Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echocardiograms, Nuclear Stress Tests, Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Event and Holter Monitors and EKG Processing.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose The Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is partnered with Washington University School of Medicine to provide state-of-the art multi-modality echocardiographic imaging. The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) performs ASE-guided, non-invasive cardiovascular testing in an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited lab to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease or injury, including advanced pathologies and anatomies (3-D echocardiography, transplanted heart and lungs, assist device placement and management, transcatheter valvular repair/replacement, congenital abnormalities and malformations, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, percutaneous placement of closure devices for patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects, and research protocols). Performs testing in routine, non-routine urgent and emergent patient care situations. Testing modalities will include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress transthoracic echocardiography.
