The surgeon will launch and grow a new sports medicine practice at the Duke Health Garner campus while maintaining a robust clinical practice. Responsibilities include performing surgeries and providing outpatient care across multiple clinics in Wake County.

Join Duke Orthopaedics in Garner, NC Duke Orthopaedics seeks a board-certified or board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine to join the Sports Medicine Division in a hybrid academic practice in Garner, North Carolina. Duke Health is expanding with a new state-of-the-art campus in Garner, NC, bringing primary and specialty outpatient care, an ambulatory surgery center (ASC), and an emergency department to a rapidly growing community. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the independence and revenue of a private practice model while being fully supported by the resources, reputation, and collaboration of the Duke Health academic health system. This Duke Orthopaedics Sports Medicine role offers: A key role in launching and growing a new sports medicine practice in one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing areas Opportunity to build a robust clinical practice within a supportive academic environment Clinical position without teaching responsibility Contribute to a nationally recognized orthopaedic department known for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care Practice Highlights: Practice across multiple outpatient clinics in Wake County Future primary location: Duke Health Garner campus (anticipated opening Fall 2027) Expected weekly schedule 2 days clinic in Garner 1 day OR at Duke Raleigh Hospital minutes from downtown Raleigh or other Duke Facilities 1 day OR at Garner ASC upon opening

Qualifications

Fellowship training in Sports Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina Demonstrated commitment to patient care, education, scholarship, and leadership Duke Health Offers a Robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity. Requirements

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in orthopaedic surgery and possess fellowship training in sports medicine. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina.
