The Medical Technologist II performs accurate laboratory testing and technical analysis of human body constituents to identify diseases. They are also responsible for reviewing the technical work performed by Lab Assistants.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from an accredited institution and meet Alabama State Board of Health and CLIA requirements. Professional certification such as MT (ASCP) or MT (AMT) is required.
The Medical Technologist is responsible for the efficient, accurate identification and technical analysis of various constituents or organisms present in the human body that may be responsible for and/or related to disease. A Medical Technologist II is responsible for and reviews all technical work performed by Lab Assistants. Medical Technologists II performs laboratory testing within all areas of the Lab.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university and meeting requirements of Alabama State Board of Health and CLIA personnel requirements for a Technologist.
