The PICC RN/Vascular Access Specialist provides expert vascular access services, including bedside insertion of PICCs, midlines, extended dwell catheters, peripheral IV catheters, and establishing access via intravascular ports. Responsibilities also include examining, assessing, and evaluating patients with vascular access devices, as well as educating patients, family members, and staff on procedures.
Candidates must possess a current RN license in the state of employment along with current ACLS and BCLS certifications, and must have completed a vascular access competency skills checklist. Essential competencies include communication proficiency, personal effectiveness, credibility, and a strong patient/client focus.
The job of PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist was established for the purpose/s of providing expert
vascular access services to the patients of our clients. Working within the guidelines set forth by the state
in which these employees are licensed and also working within the guidelines set forth by the Company,
the PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist will maintain a high level of professionalism and skill.
