Assists the anesthesia provider with patient care, monitoring, and equipment setup during various surgical and emergency procedures. Manages anesthesia equipment maintenance, inventory, and ensures a sterile and functional work environment.
Requires graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technology program or ASATT certification, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting 45 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs.
Assists the Anesthesia provider under the supervision of the Chief of Anesthesiology, or designee. Practices in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center. Associate Degree Notes: Weekends required This is an on-call position, working days andhours may vary within the specified shift
