Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with diverse acute medical conditions within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, documentation, performance improvement, and precepting new team members.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Virginia. A minimum of one year of relevant experience and American Heart Association BLS certification are required.
UVA Health’s Acute General Medicine units provide high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with a variety of acute medical conditions, including respiratory, endocrine, infectious disease, renal, gastrointestinal, and select cardiology cases. Our teams care for higher-acuity patients which allows team members to learn to manage complex co-morbidities that require strong clinical judgment and adaptability.
Our five units: 3 East (25 beds)
3 Central (27 beds)
3 West (26 beds)
3 North (12 beds)
4 Central (17 beds)

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
1 year of relevant experience.
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
