The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct patient care and observation to ensure the safety and well-being of patients with mental and behavioral health needs. They assist the nursing team in clinical settings, facilitate medical care, and perform crisis intervention when necessary.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field or a high school diploma with at least one year of relevant experience in psychiatric or developmental disability care. Applicants must also be willing to complete a hospital-approved behavior management program within 90 days of hire.

Provides direct care and observation with guidance from clinically licensed behavioral health providers and nursing staff, promoting family centered care in a healing environment. Demonstrates skill and judgment necessary to provide safe and effective care to patients, including those with complex behavior and/or mental health needs, under the supervision of the nursing team. Provides crisis intervention and initiates emergency response plan, when necessary Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.

The pay range for this job begins at $19.68/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
