• Shift: Varied ShiftsKlickitat Valley Health is a rural, critical-access hospital (trauma level 4) located in scenic Goldendale, Washington only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. KVH offers emergency and acute inpatient care and a full scope of ancillary services including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Wound Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, PT / OT, Behavioral Health, Dental, Optometry, Retail Pharmacy and Hospice. The hospital also owns a busy, well-established primary care and same day appointment clinic that is located on hospital campus. Inpatient care is managed by 24/7 Hospitalist staff. KVH employs 300 staff and is one of the largest employers in the county. Goldendale, population 3,500, is nestled among the rolling Simcoe Hills with gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing, kayaking, and windsurfing are world-class with the Columbia River and untouched wilderness just minutes away. Locals enjoy the cultural offerings of Hood River and Portland, as well as the dozens of wineries that dot the landscape throughout the Columbia River Gorge. Each of the four seasons are prominent with beautiful wildflowers in the Spring and fiery orange shades in the Fall. Whether you’re raising children, raising animals, raising a garden, or just looking to get out of the big city, our providers come to Goldendale to enjoy a slower pace of life and take advantage of the rich benefits of country living. We are now seeking a physician to join our exceptional ED team. Physicians work 24-hour shifts; the average census is 14 visits/day. The ER is staffed with one physician, one RN, and one ED Tech. LifeFlight's base is only 30 miles away, allowing for extremely fast air transfer response time. A comfortable sleep room near the ER is available for the physician on duty. Full-time benefits are offered at six 24-hour shifts per month. Benefits package includes M/D/V/Rx, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Retirement, Paid Time Off, CME, license and professional membership fees, and malpractice insurance. Competitive salary, signing bonus, temporary housing, and relocation assistance are available. Part-time positions are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off and participate in the retirement plan. Casual positions are not eligible for benefits.
