About the role

Provides patient care under the direction of collaborating physicians, including performing physical exams, ordering diagnostics, and interpreting results. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans and promote optimal patient outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range

$65.00 - $75.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job description

Under the direction of collaborating physicians, provides care to patients.

Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results.

Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen.

Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments, and procedures.

Follows patients through their course of treatment in the immediate care.

Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.

Demonstrates evidence-based practice.

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty.

Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum.

Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health.

Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams.

Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experiences.

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals.

Supports the strategic plan of the organization.

Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Position Highlights

  • EMR: EPIC
  • Market Competitive Compensation.
  • Full time/part time: $65-75 per hour experience rated. $70/hour for prn.
  • Hours:
  • Monday -
  • Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
  • Weekend/Holiday
  • Rotation-
  • Between 8:00
  • AM and 4:00 PM
  • Required travel: Travel to cover other Immediate Care sites in the geographic area where assigned.
  • Full time positions are 40 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN or MS) or NCCPA certified PA.
  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or IC experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or PA required to be considered for the position.
  • APRNS: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license and current Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse license, Illinois controlled substance license and DEA certification.
  • Physician Assistants: IL PA license, IL controlled substance license, and DEA certification.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must have an in-person component).
