Description We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The PA will deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician while exercising a high degree of clinical autonomy. Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or decides on follow-up procedures. Administers and orders diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work, and interprets test results. Performs therapeutic procedures such as immunizations, injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment. Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress. Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations. Provides general health education regarding matters such as proper diet, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated competency in providing care across the lifespan, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols.
Completion of a four-year physician assistant baccalaureate program and one year of clinical training; or Completion of a two-year accredited physician assistant program (requiring two years of undergraduate study) plus two years of post-program clinical training. Current state licensure based on successful completion of the certifying examination. Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements, including 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and successful completion of the recertification examination every six years. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Regular exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and patient bodily fluids, requiring adherence to safety and infection-control protocols.
