The Medical Assistant provides clinical support to providers by escorting patients, measuring vital signs, and documenting patient history. They are also responsible for performing nursing procedures, collecting laboratory specimens, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and have at least one year of relevant clinical experience or completion of an approved medical assistant program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and professional certifications such as CCMA, CMA, or RMA are preferred.
