The Physician Assistant delivers comprehensive healthcare to patients under the supervision of a physician, assisting with clinical management and diagnostic procedures. They also provide education to staff and patients while adhering to board-approved protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold current Mississippi State Licensure. A minimum of two years of experience, preferably in an acute care or hospital-owned clinic setting, is required along with NCCPA certification.
Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs. Must meet licensure requirements as provided by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.
Mississippi State Licensure as a Physician Assistant required.
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
