The Health Unit Coordinator manages the daily clerical functions of the unit and provides support for direct patient care. They must maintain unit operations while demonstrating flexibility and organization in a stressful environment.
Candidates must have at least one year of clerical experience and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical terminology are also required or preferred.
Manage the clerical functions of the unit. Perform at a professional level in the day-to-day operations of the unit. Provide support related to direct patient care. Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
High School diploma or equivalent (preferred) One (1) year clerical experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certifcation Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to use a computer independently. Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
The base rate for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
