The Histotechnician is responsible for performing histology duties including embedding, cutting, staining, and microtomy of tissue samples. They must also maintain laboratory equipment, manage case distribution, and adhere to safety and regulatory protocols.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and documented histology training. A minimum of one year of experience in a histology lab performing microtomy or embedding is required.
