Job Summary

Arrow ARC is seeking highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Electrophysiology Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC). In this role, you will work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where expert nursing judgment, critical care knowledge, and the ability to act quickly under pressure are essential. You will be a key clinical team member supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This is a vital opportunity to contribute to the care of our nation's Veterans while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Shift

Full-time | Four 10-hour shifts per week (0730–1800), rotating day off.

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Collaborate closely with physicians and the Cath Lab team to monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs in real time. Perform critical care functions such as: Insertion of peripheral IV lines Venipuncture and blood draws from central lines and swan-Ganz catheters Arterial blood draws from existing lines Hemodynamic monitoring 12-lead EKG administration ACLS protocol implementation in emergency situations External pacemaker setup and support Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella (heart pump) device setup and monitoring Use of Rotoblator and CSI rotational atherectomy systems Document all care provided using CPRS, CART-CL, and WITT systems. Comply with all VA policies and procedures and follow evidence-based nursing practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • At least three (3) years of prior experience in an intensive care or critical care setting, including Cath Lab experience.
  • Must have practiced in an ICU, Cath Lab, or equivalent high-acuity environment within the past six months.
  • Completion of an accredited course in Intensive Care/Cath Lab Nursing.
  • Moderate Sedation Certification or equivalent.
  • Active certifications from the American Heart Association: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Desired Qualifications

CCRN Certification (Acute/Critical Care Nursing) from the AACN Certification Corporation. Familiarity with cardiovascular assistive devices and advanced catheterization technologies. Experience providing care to COVID-19 positive patients and PUIs (Patients Under Investigation).
