The Cardiovascular Specialist performs required procedures in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory. They are responsible for operating specialized equipment including x-ray systems, EP pacing devices, and hemodynamic monitoring tools.
Candidates must hold a technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in an allied health field, or have completed 300 hours of clinical rotation. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and various state-specific or professional registrations such as RCIS, RCES, or ARRT.
