The Dell Medical School is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Surgery in the Outpatient Clinic.
The Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction. Reporting to the Clinic Supervisor, the RN collaborates closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Key responsibilities include patient assessments, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and educating patients and their families.
Inventory Management
Conducts periodic inventory checks and restocks supplies.
Ensures availability of necessary medical equipment.
Telephone Triage
Provides medical advice and guidance to patients over the phone.
Assesses patient needs and directs them to appropriate care.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program. 3 year of relevant experience in an outpatient or clinical setting. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. 5 years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Salary Range: $82,000 + depending on qualifications
