The Paramedic assists nursing and physician staff in providing patient care within the emergency room and med/surg unit. They also serve as an active member of the rapid response team and perform procedures according to their licensure and facility policy.
Candidates must hold a current Oklahoma Paramedic license and possess computer and office equipment skills. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, which must be obtained within specified timeframes after hire.
The Paramedic will assist the nursing and physician staff in providing patient care in the emergency room and med/surg unit as well as be an active member of the rapid response team. Paramedics perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, CARES values and standards. Allowable procedures and pursuant with the scope of care from the Oklahoma State Department of Health “Standard of Care” 310:641-5-30. While working the Paramedic shall continue to practice under the license of the Emergency Services Medical Director and direction of the Facility CNO.
