Caregivers provide essential daily living assistance, companionship, and safety monitoring to residents in a senior living community. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of care and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure a supportive environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess current First Aid, CPR, and Food Handlers cards. The role requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Caregiver (WA)
Caregivers create a joyful and vibrant community by providing care, support, and companionship to our residents. You will assist seniors with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure their safety, well-being, and comfort, in accordance with company policies and state regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed. Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Mobility Support: Help residents with mobility, transfers, and exercises to maintain their physical health.
Engage in conversations, games, and activities to provide emotional support and companionship.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Ensure residents' safety by monitoring for any potential hazards or emergencies and responding appropriately.
Maintain open communication with residents, their families, and team members to provide updates on residents' well-being.
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices and standards. Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays current on all system assigned tasks and duties.
