The pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications to ensure safe and effective patient care in an acute hospital setting. This includes verifying medication orders, compounding sterile products, and providing drug information to the healthcare team.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and possess an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Texas. A minimum of 1-2 years of hospital clinical experience and BLS certification are required.
