Histotechnician I - Night Shift

Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience Qualifications One (1) year of progressively responsible directly related work experience

Ability operate and maintain medical equipment and apparatuses Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and interpret results Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to organize and prioritize specimens and tasks to produce a high quality product in an efficient and timely manner Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities Ability to perform tasks according to prescribed procedures Ability to solve problems and identify solutions Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization Ability to work in a fast paced work environment Knowledge and technical proficiency in specialty areas assigned within the laboratory Knowledge of infection prevention policies and procedures Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility Knowledge of mathematics general science and laboratory techniques Knowledge of methods of fixing, cutting, and embedding tissue sections Knowledge of staining procedures and mounting sections for microscopic examination

Licenses and Certifications HTL-ASCP Histotechnologist Certf-ASCP required within 1 1/2 Yrs or HTN-ASCP Histotechnician Certf-ASCP required .

• Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $48.38 - $54.48 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
