The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for safely administering medications to residents and accurately documenting all doses and responses. They must also monitor residents for adverse reactions and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure high standards of care.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Certification of Medication Aide. Additionally, they must meet state-specific requirements and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff.
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for safely and accurately administering medications to residents in a nursing home setting under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role is vital to ensuring that residents receive the proper medications in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of care and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
