About the role

The Vascular Surgeon is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, performing complex vascular surgical procedures, and documenting patient assessments. They must also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and their families on vascular health and treatment options.

Under general supervision and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Vascular Surgeon delivers comprehensive medical care to patients within the specialty of vascular surgery.

Responsibilities Planning and executing medical care, documenting medical assessments, identifying and referring situations that require intervention, and performing complex surgical procedures related to the vascular system.

The Vascular Surgeon formulates and communicates patient-centered goals and plans of care, ensuring the protection of patient rights at all times.

This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the ability to provide education to patients and their families regarding vascular health and treatment options.

The Vascular Surgeon is responsible for performing all job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Medical Doctor license issued by the State of Florida Board certification in Vascular Surgery within the time frame established by the applicable Specialty Medical Staff Department

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and possess a valid Florida medical license. Additionally, board certification in Vascular Surgery is required within the timeframe established by the department.
