The Nurse Practitioner will diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in both office and virtual settings. They are responsible for developing care plans, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications in collaboration with a physician.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Work Shift: 11am-7pm
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness as a part of a healthcare team both in an office setting and via virtual visit. Provides clinical services and develops and implements plan of care in conjunction with collaborating physician. Orders and interprets diagnostic test such as lab work and x-rays. Prescribes medication with the exception of schedule II drugs.
3-5 years of related experience preferred.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and hold a current Louisiana State APRN license. A current BLS certification and the ability to work evening and weekend shifts are also required.
