The Clinical Research Nurse manages investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials within the cardiology department, ensuring protocol compliance and high-quality data collection. This role serves as a primary liaison between the research team, patients, and medical staff while providing direct patient care and education.
Candidates must possess a college or university degree in a related field and have 2-5 years of relevant work experience. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred, along with specific experience in cardiology nursing and clinical research fundamentals.

Experience in nursing (ideally cardiology nursing), and demonstrated knowledge about home care, palliative care, advanced directives, pain management, symptom control, and/or discharge planning. Preferred Competencies Fundamental working knowledge of clinical research. Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques. Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional and respectful manner. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to read documents or instruments. Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with occasional interruptions. Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive situations. Ability to solve problems by applying math or reasoning principles. Ability to adapt to changing working situations and work assignments.
