About the role

The PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The role involves working within an interdisciplinary team at IOP/PHP and outpatient settings while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System is looking for a dynamic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitoner (PMHNP) Board certification as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric populations.
  • Provide services at IOP/PHP and traditional outpatients.
  • Full-Time position, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
  • After hours of coverage one day per week (11am- 7:30pm) Caseload 20-25 patients per working day.
  • EMR documentation.
  • Work independently.
  • Weekly Interdisciplinary team participation.
  • Monthly meeting with CMO.

Qualifications

Experience/Education

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from accredited program REQUIRED. Board Certification as PMHNP REQUIRED. Minimum TWO (2) years experience as PMHNP in behavioral health REQUIRED. Independent Prescription Authority preferred. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing and possess board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health is required for this position.
