About the role

The General Neurologist will provide clinical care to patients in a multidisciplinary setting while collaborating with a team of 28 physicians and clinicians. The role involves building relationships with community partners and hospitalist institutions to ensure continuity of care.

New England Neurological Associates, P.C. (NENA) who joined Tufts Medicine and Lowell General Hospital in 2024, is a multidisciplinary neuroscience practice that was founded in 1969.

We are seeking a General Neurologist for our Chelmsford and Westford, MA locations.

We welcome subspecialty interests for this role including cognitive/memory care.

This role will allow for opportunities to collaborate with a team of 28 other NENA Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians throughout the NENA system.

You will build meaningful relationships within NENA, community partners, hospitalist institutions, other specialties and the greater community – our vision stretches beyond our four walls.

NENA currently has five locations throughout the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts and New Hampshire which house neurologists, neurosurgeons, pain management physicians, psychiatrists, rheumatologists, and various support personnel. In this role as a General Neurologist, you will serve the culturally diverse community in the suburbs of the city of Lowell, MA. Working with a multidisciplinary team, offering continuity of care for patients all within one practice, you will have support with flexible scheduling allowing for documentation time within your workday.

The incoming Neurologist will have a full-time schedule, typically Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p. Call is shared among the greater NENA team.

Collaboration, collegiality and flexibility are the cornerstones of NENA’s practice, allowing our organization to design and tailor call schedules with our incumbent Neurologists.

Each specialty has a secretary team who assists with scheduling, rooming, and triage. Medical assistants are also available.

Currently, within NENA there are 14 neurology providers (Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians) caring for patients throughout the Merrimack Valley. Neurology subspecialties represented in the group include: stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, movement disorder, migraine (BOTOX), and neuro-immunology.

Requirements

  • You must be passionate about neuroscience and a team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world class patient satisfaction and support.
  • Currently licensed in the State of New Hampshire and Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ablity to obtain licenses in these states.
  • Would consider General Neurology or sub-specialist
