The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team in a professional and compassionate manner within the clinic setting. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, including administering immunizations and providing health education to patients of all ages in accordance with established clinical standards.
The CMA/LVN prepares patients for examinations, obtains and documents vital signs and health information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assists providers to ensure optimal patient care and flow. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and delegating referrals, prescribed medications, and other patient needs; maintaining medical supplies, medications, and equipment; and ensuring accurate documentation of all care provided.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification (BLS)
Licensed Vocational Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Current unrestricted license from the Texas or Arkansas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners (applicable state to assigned clinic location) to practice as a licensed vocational nurse.
• One (1) year of practice experience as a CMA or LVN giving direct patient care
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Candidates must hold a current CPR/BLS certification and possess either a Licensed Vocational Nurse degree with a valid state license or a national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant. One year of direct patient care experience is preferred.
