- Positions: JOB SUMMARY The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The employee may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.Responsible for providing therapy services consistent with licensure to clients including evaluation of patient, establishing plan of care, implementing treatment, directing and educating patient and/or caregiver and documentation of the above.Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.Communicate with other health care providers regarding client care and treatment plans.Provide training and education for hospital staff as requested.Complete patient documentation in a timely manner to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.Attend continuing education programs and present findings to appropriate staff as applicable.Review and complete all insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner.Assist with performance improvement for rehab department and hospital.Understand use and precautions of any treatments and equipment used.Positively contributes to the departmental financial performance/productivity.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited OT program.
Experience

Licensure

- Care: Delivers care that is consistent with the team member's discipline in accordance with the specific therapy practice act, guidelines, and code of ethics of the respective organization, i.e., APTA, ASHA, AOTA. Completes patient evaluations and treatments independently while maintaining patient safety. Appropriately seeks guidance and assistance when necessary. Independently establishes/implements treatment goals and plans based on patient input and evaluation and assessment results. Reassesses outcomes and modifies goals and plans to meet changing needs of the patient. Schedules patient activities according to patient individual needs.

The base compensation range for this role is $38.80 - $58.90 hourly.
Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
