About the role

Provide direct care to patients transitioning from intensive care to help them achieve optimal health and independence. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers and families.

Where You’ll Work CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas.

Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties.

We have been consistently named by US News & World Report as one of the State’s best hospitals, with high performance in heart care, colorectal surgery, and joint replacement.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Registered Nurse at CHI St.

Vincent in Stepdown Unit, you will help patients transitioning from intensive care achieve optimal health and independence so they can return home safely and confidently.

Every day you will provide direct patient care, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and managing complex patient needs.

You will be expected to collaborate effectively with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients and their families.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Checking patients' health status daily and making note of any changes or concerns Caring for multiple patients throughout the same shift, often varying in age and condition Monitoring patients with life-saving medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, feeding tubes and ventilators Providing a comfortable and secure environment for the patient while acting as their advocate We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.

Job Requirements Registered Nurse license in good standing, State of Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start date 12 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program) Previous step down and/or ICU experience strongly preferred BLS through the American Heart Association is required within 30 days ACLS through the American Heart Association is required within 90 days

Requirements

Requires a valid Registered Nurse license in Arkansas or a compact state and at least 12 months of acute care experience. BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required within specific timeframes.
