The Histology Technician is responsible for preparing high-quality slides from tissue samples for pathologist review. This includes paraffin embedding, sectioning, and performing various staining procedures while maintaining accurate records.

Summary/Objective The Histology Technician is responsible for preparing slides from tissue samples for the pathologist to review. They are also responsible for prioritizing testing procedures and completing those procedures in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining proper accurate records of all tests done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Candidates should have 2-4 years of histology experience and preferably an Associate's degree in biology or a related field. ASCP HT certification is preferred along with strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
