The Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic and function tests and implements therapeutic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. They collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress through various respiratory therapies.
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Care program or have passed the National Board Respiratory Care Exam. Required certifications include current licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist-Certified Days - PRN The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for conducting, performing, and analyzing diagnostic and function tests at both basic and advanced levels of therapeutic procedures. Respiratory Care Practitioners work alongside physicians and nurses to create treatment plans and evaluate the progress of treatment through the use of aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy.
