About the role

The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures. They also serve as an educator for breast cancer prevention and coordinate patient appointments and results.

The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of specialized knowledge and skills in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

This includes the assessment, care planning, and direct care of patients before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures.

Serves as an educator for breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment options.

Coordinates patient appointments and delivery of procedure results, as directed by the Radiologist.

Performs clinical breast examinations and post-biopsy visual examinations as requested.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma in Nursing and possess 1-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in women's health. A valid Registered Nurse license in Florida or a compact state and BLS certification are required.
