The Caregiver Café Ambassador is responsible for planning and hosting gatherings that foster peer connection and mutual support for caregivers. They coordinate discussion topics and guest speakers while ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
Candidates should have a demonstrated interest or experience in dementia care or caregiving. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential for this role.
Plan and host Caregiver Café gatherings. Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all participants. Coordinate guest speakers, discussion topics, and refreshments. Foster open, respectful dialogue and ensure all voices are heard. Collaborate with Seacoast Dementia Hub staff and volunteers to promote cafés and share feedback.
Commitment: 3–5 hours per month
All volunteers must meet the following criteria: Demonstrated interest and/or experience in dementia care or caregiving. Combination of both preferred. Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to complete training. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries.
