DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide support to individuals in a 1:1 or group format as defined in the ISP. Work in cooperation with

Managers to develop member skills in the areas of: self-care, self-preservation, expressive communication, self-direction, and activities of daily living. Work in cooperation with coworkers, individuals, staff from other agencies, outside professionals and consultants to promote growth and independence for the individuals in our programs. Instruct, supervise and evaluate individuals in all areas of community living as outlined in each support plan and record data on all instructional programs. Maintain the program in clean, orderly condition as outlined by Supervisor.
This may include: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning floors, bathrooms, tables, counters, windows and laundry. Assist and support individuals as needed with personal care responsibilities, may include: diet, exercise, meal preparation, bathing, shaving, dressing, toileting etc. Assist and support individuals as needed with physical direct care, may include: physical or mechanical transfer of individuals from wheelchairs to van, chair, or shower etc. Implement all plans and treatments as outlined including O.T., P.T., Behavioral Nursing, and Speech. (may include physical intervention) Adhere to all established lines of communication, Represent a positive and proactive attitude with coworkers, families and referral agencies. Responsible for writing reports, including daily shift reports, utilizing professional and appropriate documentation skills. Attend all required meetings, and adhere to all program routines and the schedules and needs of individuals under supervision. Adhere to agency safety standards. Adhere to the schedules and needs of RTR, the schedules and needs of individuals under supervision and the schedules and needs of customers/host companies. Dress in a manner that reflects the corporate culture of the specific business in which the individual or individuals are placed. Adhere to agency safety standards. Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures. Maintain current training certificates. Initial orientation 3 days, then annual Human Rights, Fires Safety, DPPC, Blood Borne Pathogens, every two years CPR and First Aid Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs. Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Additional duties may include but are not limited to clearing snow and ice from walkways, vehicles, parking lots, and roads using equipment like shovels and snow blowers while applying deicing agents to ensure safety. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet. Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings. Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
