Histology Technician II, ANPA Surgical Pathology, 40hr, Day

Preferred

• Associates degree in a related field. ASCP certification as a HT, or be HT certified with 60 college credits in biology and chemistry, or HT certified.
• Experience/Skills:
• Required: 1 year of experience in an anatomic pathology laboratory.

Dermatology

• Prepares histopathologic slides for tissue diagnosis utilizing frozen section techniques. Responsible for the orientation, mapping, thin sectioning, and staining of skin/tissue removed during surgical procedures. Take photos and prepares operative reports. Performs laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision, and reports and keeps a database of test results.
• Anatomic
• Pathology: Prepares histopathologic slides for microscopic examination utilizing microtomy techniques. Responsible for processing, embedding, sectioning, and routine staining of paraffin blocks at the highest quality in an efficient manner. Performs special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures.
