Provides physical therapy services to patients across all age groups to restore function and relieve pain. Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and may assist in staff orientation.
Requires a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program and a current Georgia Physical Therapist license. Candidates must have at least 2 years of work experience and hold a BCLS certification.
Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence. Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
Education Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required Must maintain current CEU’s as by the State Work Experience 2 years of experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required BCLS - Basic Life Support Required Business
