The Orthotist is responsible for designing, measuring, fitting, and adapting orthopedic braces and appliances to meet patient needs. They also manage patient medical histories, fabricate devices, and provide instruction on the use and care of orthoses.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid license to practice Orthotics in the state of Texas. Certification by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics is also required.
