Assists physicians in the performance of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care to patients throughout the procedure.
Requires graduation from an RN, RCIS, or RCES program and at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Must hold current state licensure and certifications including BCLS and ACLS.
Overview Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac/electrophysiology procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Education Graduate of Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) program Required Work Experience 2 years Cath Lab Tech Experience Required Licenses and Certifications Depending on the education held above, one of the following is required Required RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required or RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire Required or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and ACLS Upon Hire Required Business
