The Mammography Technologist performs specialized breast examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. They are responsible for operating mammographic radiographic equipment and various other medical devices.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training program. Required certifications include ARRT (R) and (M) registration and Basic Life Support (BCLS).
Overview The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients.
