Independently perform laboratory procedures and testing on patients of all ages. Execute, interpret, and analyze laboratory results in an accurate and timely manner.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, or a related biological field. Must hold or be eligible for certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.
Education Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program graduate, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required Work Experience No experience required Required Licenses and Certifications Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license .
